Hawaiian Luau
On January 25, 2008, over 200 people gathered at Spencer Lake Christian Center to experience a Hawaiian Luau and a fun-filled weekend. It began Friday night with everyone working on crafts such as decorating fish and flip-flops. When they were finished the fish were hung in the Worship Center for decorations and for judging. Rev. Kent Boyum was the speaker and challenged everyone to push through the obstacles of life to a higher level with God.

aturday was filled with lots of games and activities for everyone. There was limbo, hoola hoops, rope climbing, outrigger races, inflatables, sand search, dunk tank and more. And, of course, how can you come to SLCC in the winter and not use the toboggan run? Everyone had a great time at the evening Luau. The dining hall staff did a great job and Bauman’s Meats out of Markesan prepared the pig and chickens to perfection.
Family Winter Retreat 2009
Family Winter Retreat for 2009 will be held on January 30 through February 1. Our theme will be South of the Border and our guest speaker will be Kent Boyum. Kent does such a wonderful job that he has become the main attraction.
The cost will be $145.00 for the immediate family and $75.00 for each additional guest. Make plans to join us for a great time!
