National Youth Scholarship Program

The NYSP is open to high school seniors attending Assemblies of God churches and planning to attend an Assemblies of God college.  They should have strong Christian character, good academic standing (preferably ranked in the top 20 percent of the class) and be active in school, community and church functions.

Applications from students in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan are processed through the YCEM office.  Three winners are chosen.  The 2008 YCEM award amounts are $400, $300 and $200.  The applications of these three winners are then sent on for the national competition.

National winners are awarded scholarships to the Assemblies of God college of their choice:  1st Place-$5,000; 2nd Place-$2,000; and 3rd Place-$1,000.  Winners must attend an endorsed Assemblies of God college or institute the fall immediately following high school graduation in order to receive the scholarship money.

Applications are available by January 1 each year.  An application form will be posted here for the current year as soon as it is available.  High school seniors must return their completed application and references to YCEM by March 31 of their graduating year to qualify.

The J. Robert Ashcroft National Youth Scholarship Program (NYSP) is jointly sponsored by the Christian Higher Education and Youth Departments of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
